Experience one of Saddleworth's {new location,Ashton-under-Lyne} most popular annual events while enjoying a relaxing stay at The Hawthorne Camping & Caravan Site in Oldham. Situated on the edge of the beautiful Pennines and surrounded by The Lows Nature Reserve, The Hawthorne provides an ideal base for visitors attending the famous Yanks Weekend. Filmed throughout the villages of Saddleworth, the event recreates the atmosphere of wartime Britain with military vehicle displays, re-enactments, vintage American and British vehicles, live entertainment, and thousands of visitors each year. food, live entertainment, and the stunning Saddleworth countryside.

HOLMFIRTH - LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE
Holmfirth is the world-famous home of Last of the Summer Wine, the longest-running sitcom in TV history. Visitors can explore iconic filming locations, visit a dedicated museum, and take vintage bus tours through the scenic Pennine hills.
YANKS WEEKEND
The Yanks Weekend is a 1940s living history event that transforms Dobcross and Uppermill into a scene from Wartime Britain. It specifically commemorates the 1979 Hollywood movie Yanks starring Richard Gere, which was filmed on location at many spots you can still visit today, such as The Swan Inn in Dobcross.
